Human Resources Associate

Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Associate provides
support across a variety of domains in the Human Resource Department in order to help ensure
operational efficiency.

  • Full-time position
  • 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.
  • $17 to $23 per hour.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Becomes fluent in Human Resource processes to serve as back up to Director of Human Resources
  • Provides support and general information to staff by answering communications; referring special communications to the appropriate person
  • Enrolls new employees and facilitates Onboarding of new staff
  • Maintains staff confidential files
  • Maintains manager and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential
  • Coordinates and manages required staff certifications
  • Coordinates monthly and quarterly staff reinforcement/acknowledgment
  • Processes Incident Reports and Worker’s Compensation Claims
  • Processes staff PTO and Time Off Requests
  • Prepares and disperses staff Separation Packets at time of termination
  • Manages updates to Policies and Procedures and STE Handbook
  • Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, etc.


  • Minimum of 2 years office/administrative experience. Previous experience in a Human Resources setting is preferred.



  • Mac friendly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency using Google Drive
  • Ability to write in English and produce materials in an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Ability to read and interpret written correspondence and instruction. Ability to effectively and creatively present information and respond to questions from staff, colleagues, vendors and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percentages. Ability to avoid potential problems using quantitative techniques.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to demonstrate good judgment and efficiency during decision making.
  • Self-motivated, work independently and collaborate with others. Ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate efficient use of time. Ability to portray a professional, polished appearance and manner.
